Chris Oyakhilome Background

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was born on 7 of the 7 of December 1973 to Mr. and Mrs. Tim Oyakhilome, as the first child of the family. After his primary and second education, he attended Ambrose Alli University in Ekpoma (Edo State), Nigeria, where the university awarded him a BSc. in Architecture.

AAU also awarded him an honorary Doctor of Science award. He also holds an honorary divinity degree from Benson Idahosa University. The Reverend Chris was before married to Anita Obhodaghe. They have two children.

While still in school at AAU Pastor Chris Oyakhilome began to get involved in the ministry. At the time the Believers’ World Fellowship, which is now Believers LoveWorld Incorporated was known as Youths For Christ (YFC).

YFC has grown to become the largest campus-based fellowship. In 1989, Pastor Chris established Believers LoveWorld Incorporated (BLW), alongside Christ Embassy. Lagos is the home of the church. Believer’s LoveWorld is a global ministry with millions of associates worldwide.

Through the 2002 atmosphere of the miracles show, BLW became Africa’s most well-known Christian ministry. They stopped airing the program in May 2004, when the president of the time, Nigeria – President Olusegun Obasanjo announced that churches should not air miracles on TV.

They accomplish this by teaching and mentoring young people and empowering them.

The foundation recognizes the efforts of these young leaders with an award ceremony known as the Future Africa Leaders’ Award. This award ceremony that began five years ago takes place on the first day of each new year in the LoveWorld Convocation Arena (LCA) Billings Way, Oregun, Ikeja. This foundation helps these vulnerable children and communities through providing participation-based and sustainable interventions such as child development programmes for childcare and family strengthening programs for innercity missions for children school, and other programmes.

Trauma Care International Foundation

The Trauma Care International Foundation was created in order to enhance the health status and life expectancy of communities and countries through the promotion of improved emergency response services in the event of accidents or emergencies. This foundation will help support national policies in trauma care by assisting the advocacy process and health education as well as community-based programs.

Over 1000 trainings on first aid, safety, and emergency management have been offered by the foundation. It is said that they were able to train thousands of school pupils, law enforcement officers, teachers, caregivers, and road transport workers.

Volunteer Medical Corps

The Volunteer Medical Corps is an international christian medical outreach. It provides relief materials as well as medical assistance and also education to refugees as well as internally displaced individuals in the affected areas.

The network is consisting of paramedics Christian health workers, and students from all over the world. The volunteers offer medical treatment as well as relief aid and sustainable health care solutions for regions and communities that are in crisis.

BFAM has provided hundreds of thousands of free copies of Rhapsody Bible in communities, hospitals, prisons and other institutions across the globe, including South Africa, Nigeria, Gambia and Ghana. Through the global network of bible donors and volunteers, the distribution was possible.
