    The Best Double Buggy Strollers

A double buggy is the best when you are expecting twins or have two children of different ages. The best double buggy is easy to maneuver and is able to take on rough surfaces.

These vehicles also come with features like large sun canopies and transparent hoods, as well as adjustable seats.

    1. Baby Jogger City Tour Double

The City Tour 2 Double stroller is the smallest model in the Baby Jogger range. It’s designed for travel, and can fit through doors that are standard with its narrow and slim design. It’s also one the lightest double buggies on the market weighing only 14lb when folded. This makes it perfect for traveling with a newborn and a toddler as you won’t be exceeding the luggage allowances of airlines. It can also be folded into an incredibly small travel bag making it easy to store in the back seat of your car.

It’s simple to fold the Z-shape with one hand. Once you’ve gotten used to it, it’s compact and only takes just a few seconds. However our tester found the auto lock a little confusing. As the handlebar doesn’t lock into place when you press it, it hit her legs when she was using it. She also believed that the handlebar was on the shorter side. This is especially the case when a large change bag is hanging from it.

In contrast to other travel buggies that are lightweight that aren’t loaded with features and is one of the most feature-packed double strollers on the market. It’s compatible with two carry cots (available separately), offers multiple recline positions, and an UV 50+ canopy. You can add an additional bassinet to one or both seats to create a travel system.

The four rubber composite wheels are perfect for pavements and urban terrain, but they’re not built for off-roading. They slid with long grass and gravel and there’s not much space between the wheel and the bracket so mud got stuck easily. That being said our testers still enjoyed the buggy and did climb some pretty dirt hills.

    iCandy Orange

The iCandy Orange double buggy is the most stylish, versatile and quality. It is a must-have item for parents looking for a stylish and durable double buggy that will last. The Orange features a sleek, lightweight, streamlined frame with a large basket that easily fits two car seats. It has an elegant, adjustable canopy that is water repellent and breathable. It comes in trendy colours like Pistachio on a Jet Black Frame, Fossil on a Jet Black Frame, and Rose. There is also the possibility of a built-in ride on board for older sibling to take part in the fun.

This 2021 update has couple of improvements, including better maneuverability, a bigger shopping basket and a redesigned bumper bar with leatherette covers. The seats are extremely comfortable and feature a moulded appearance. They’re also adjustable so that they can be positioned to suit the needs of siblings. iCandy have introduced the first ever ‘cinema’ seating design enabling parents to maintain eye contact with both children. They can be repositioned so that they face either the parent or the world.

It’s a heavier tandem buggy however it’s extremely easy to use and steer, especially on smooth pavements. It’s stable in double and single mode, and can be used on sloping ground. It’s not as simple to drive on public transport, however, because it requires more than one hand to grip the handlebar. It’s also quite bulky and won’t fit into a standard family car boot with the seat on, however this can be overcome with some thoughtful planning. iCandy have included a footmuff, changing bag and car seat adapters in the price so this is an excellent value bundle for parents who are new.

    3. Joie Evalite Duo

This is a light tandem stroller. It has two non reversible seats, suitable for children from birth up to about 3 years old. The rear seat can also accommodate car seats.

The Joie Evalite Duo double buggy is a fantastic choice for beginners, as it is inexpensive and easy to use. It is also extremely lightweight, making it easy to push across long distances. It also has a high-quality suspension system that ensures the smoothest ride for kids and parents.

This is a stylish and practical city buggy that can be used for twins, a baby and a toddler, or even three children with the addition of UPPAbaby’s “PiggyBack’ board (sold separately). Its sleek frame and compact dimensions make it ideal for shopping malls and narrow city streets. Its swivel wheels on the front and four-wheel suspension allow it to withstand rough or uneven terrain.

This model is also great for families who plan to travel since it can accommodate a car-seat in the back. It features the one-click fold that secures it and is compatible with a variety of Joie infant car seats. It has a spacious basket and comfortable seats for children. The only issue is that the front seat isn’t able to recline completely, which could be a problem for babies. It’s a great option if you are looking for a lightweight and low-cost stroller.

    4. Cybex Gazelle S

This is the stroller to get for twins if you’re expecting. It’s the first travel system made by Cybex and comes with adaptors that make it simple to convert from a single pushchair into a double. The upper adaptors are able to move upwards and downwards to accommodate your height whilst the lower ones can be twisted around and rotated, making it really easy to switch from one configuration to another. The Gazelle’s seat units also recline into a pretty flat position and have an extended, large UV 50+ sun canopy which is essential for children.

A one-pull harness, huge recline, and practical features such as the basket that you can remove for shopping means it’s a very versatile and family friendly stroller. It also has wheels that are puncture-proof, so you don’t need to worry about those unexpected flat tubes on your adventures away from home.

    5. Nipper Double V5

The Nipper Double V5 is a updated version of Out ‘n’ About of the award-winning buggies that can be used on all terrains. It’s designed for siblings or twins and it has independent reclined seats, compatibility carrycots and a lightweight frame that allows for easy maneuvering on bumpy terrain.

The adjustable height handle and rear wheel suspension guarantee the comfort of children up to 22kg, while the hard-wearing pneumatic tyres are easy to clean and provide a smooth ride for jogging. The 360-degree swivel wheel is able to be locked in place to allow for easier maneuvering around town. The one-pedal, easy lock brake is also simple to use.

Our test participants found that the Nipper Double was incredibly easy to manoeuvre, even when taking off on uneven ground or turning quickly in an area with a lot of traffic. The fact that the seats can be reclined independently was also hugely appreciated.

They also liked the fact that the hoods could be moved forward and back making them easy to adjust in the sun or to provide wind protection. They didn’t offer the same amount of coverage as the Baby Jogger City Mini Hoods. It’s probably worth packing an additional rain cover in the case.

Overall, our testers loved the way the Nipper Double allowed them to take their twins Sydney and Lyla on a variety of adventures, from seeing wildlife in the woods, to rushing to the park to play with their friends. The testers were also impressed by how comfortable and spacious the two seats are. There’s plenty of room for toddlers who are growing. The absence of parent-facing seating and the inability to use a car seat in this buggy were cited as a problem by our test participants. They would have also liked to see a larger storage space to store shopping items and other accessories.
